  • 1/3 tsp ● Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ● Baking powder
  • 50 ml ● Water
  • 3 tbsp + 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil (for frying)

How to Make Japanese Leek Chijimi

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Japanese Leek Chijimi in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Combine all the ● ingredients in a bowl, and evenly blend until smooth.
  • Step 2
  • Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, and spread oil evenly. Pour the batter into the pan, making a large pancake.
  • Step 3
  • Fry slowly over medium heat, then once it turns to a golden brown, flip. Pour 2 more tablespoons of vegetable oil around the edges, then remove from the pan when it's cooked.
