  • 2 slices, 2cm thick Beef for steak
  • 1 Vegetable oil
  • 1 Garlic
  • 1 Salt and pepper

How to Make Japanese Premium Beef Steak

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Japanese Premium Beef Steak in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Take out the beef from the fridge, and let them rest for 10 minutes at room temperature.
  • Step 2
  • Put the vegetable oil and sliced garlic into the frying pan. Stir-fry patiently until nicely browned.
  • Step 3
  • Remove the sinews of the beef, then lightly salt and pepper both sides.
  • Step 4
  • Remove the garlic from the frying pan and put the beef in. Cook for 2 minutes at high heat.
  • Step 5
  • Flip and cook for 2 minutes at medium heat.
  • Step 6
  • Remove the beef from the frying pan and let them rest for 5~10 minutes. This is a tip to cook the insides. I covered it with plastic wrap for 5 minutes.
  • Step 7
  • Cook both sides for 30 seconds each over high heat. Dish them up, and enjoy the medium rare beef steak!
  • Step 8
  • I used the same frying pan to make some wasabi sauce.
  • Step 9
  • To finish, I topped a bowl of rice with arugula, soft poached eggs, and the sliced beaf steak, then poured some wasabi sauce over it to make a rice bowl. It was amazing!
