  • 1 block Tofu (firm)
  • 250 grams Ground chicken
  • 1 bunch Shiso leaves

  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • 4 tbsp Grated daikon radish
  • 1 add (to taste) Green onion or scallion
  • 1 ★Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp ★Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp ★ Katakuriko
  • 1/2 ★Egg (whole egg)
  • 1 tbsp ★Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ★Sugar
  • 150 ml ☆Water
  • 2 tbsp ☆Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ☆Sake
  • 1 tbsp ☆Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp ☆Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Katakuriko slurry

How to Make Japanese-Style Tofu and Chicken Burgers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Japanese-Style Tofu and Chicken Burgers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Drain the tofu. We usually put it on a sieve and put a plate on it, and leave it for about 15 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • While you wait for tofu to drain, finely chop the carrot and shiso leaves and grate the ginger. Grate the daikon radish and chop the green onion also.
  • Step 3
  • Mix the drained tofu, carrot, shiso leaves, ginger and the ★ ingredients together well by hand.
  • Step 4
  • Make the sauce. Heat the ☆ ingredients in a pan, and thicken by adding katakuriko mixed with water when the sauce comes to a boil.
  • Step 5
  • Fry the burgers. Heat oil in a pan, put in the formed burger patties, cover the pan, and pan fry both sides of of the burgers over medium heat.
  • Step 6
  • Put the burgers on a serving plate, pour the sauce over them and put , grated daikon radish and chopped green onion on top to finish.
