  • 2 oz flour
  • 1 each egg
  • 2 oz water
  • Crispy Treasure Chest
  • salt pepper
  • crumbled cheese
  • crumbled cooked bacon
  • sliced thin jalapeño
  • shitake mushroom thin sliced sautéed
  • thin sliced red onion sautéed
  • leafy green like collard or kale
  • deep fry
  • vegetable oil for deep frying treasure chest
  • Burger
  • 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
  • salt pepper
  • 1 tbsp hidden valley ranch powder
  • 1 burger stuffer

How to Make Jay's Juicy Treasure Chest Burger!

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Jay's Juicy Treasure Chest Burger! in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix ingredients for batter. Pre heat oil to 350°F. Take a leaf of collard or what ever leaf you use, put in a 1/3 measuring cup an pack cheeses and other treasure chest ingredients in leaf.

  • Wrap leaf over and coat with batter ad to deep fryer. Cook till crispy then drain oil place in fridge. Preheat oil 375°F.
  • Step 3
  • Mix burger ingredients and set aside. Remove chest from fridge deep fry short time at 375°F. Take out drain. Leave chests out to cool. Form burgers in a burger stuffer deep enough to fit chest , one chest cooled place in burger cover burger with more beef and repeat to howmany you want.
  • Step 4
  • Preheat a cast iron pan or oven safe pan on stove top place burgers carefully in pan and cook brown one side flip the preheat oven 325°F. Once burger brown both sides place pan in oven cook to your desired liking.
