  • 4 oz soy sauce
  • 1 oz beef broth
  • 1/2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • fresh grated ginger
  • dash ground cardamom
  • roasted sesame seed oil
  • fresh crushed garlic
  • dash mirin (optional)

How to Make Jessy's Teriyaki Sauce & Marinade

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Jessy's Teriyaki Sauce & Marinade in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Blend all ingredients in a bowl, blend well. Refrigerate minimum 1 hour (ideally overnight) to let flavours meld.
  • Step 2
  • Taste and rectify seasoning. If too salty, add more lemon juice. For more depth, add broth.
  • Step 3
  • Use as desired. Can be thickened with cornstarch to make a wonderful glaze for asian beef dishes.
  • Step 4
  • *NOTE* Keep in mind that "commmon" brands of soy sauce (ie VH) are extremely salty, and not a good choice for this recipie. My favorite brand to use is Kikkoman's.
