Ingredients: Jilebi

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 pinch orange food color
  • 3 pinch yeast
  • warm water

How to Make Jilebi

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Jilebi in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat 1 cup sugar and 3/4 cup water in a sauce pan to make syrup
  • Step 2
  • In a bowl mix flour, yeast, food color with luke warm water. The batter will be of flowing consistency, not too gluish or not too thin.
  • Step 3
  • Set the mixture aside for 20 min.
  • Step 4
  • Heat oil in a nonstick and using a piping bag pour the mixture into hot oil. U can make nest like pattern.
  • Step 5
  • Once the jilebi becomes golden brown , take it out of oil and quickly soak in the syrup.
