  • a few Curry leaves
  • 1 Medium onion, fine chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, fine chopped
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1/2 Cup Besan (Chickpea Flour)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Water

How to Make Kadhi - Basic: Quick and Simple

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Kadhi - Basic: Quick and Simple in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cumin, ajwain and mustard seeds. Cook 2 mins.
  • Step 2
  • Add onions, tomatoes, curry leaves, ginger garlic turmeric paste and cook 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • In a bowl mix yogurt, besan and water. Use a whisk. Make sure there are no lumps. Add this to the pot. Add salt. Bring it to a boil and reduce heat to simmer. Cook to desired thickness. Don't let it boil over. Don't cover. You may leave a wooden spoon in the pot.
