  • 100 g channa dal (kadlebele, Bengal gram)
  • 1 cup water (if required)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated coconut
  • 100 g jaggery
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 50 g cashew nuts
  • 50 g almonds
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

    Step 1
  • Cook kadlebele/Bengal gram with water in a cooker till 3 whistles are released
  • Step 2
  • Mix it with a tablespoon milk and keep aside
  • Step 3
  • Add the freshly grated coconut with grinded jaggery to get a course paste
  • Step 4
  • Now heat ghee in a kadai and add cashew nuts, chopped almonds, remaining milk, and coconut mixture
  • Step 5
  • Cook it for 15 minutes and then pour the kadlebele mixture
  • Step 6
  • Sprinkle cardamom powder and let it cook for another 2 to 3 minutes
