  • 1 box of Zantran brand jambalaya rice mix
  • 1 14 ounce can of fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1 Three andouille sausages cut into chunks
  • 10 to 15 peeled deveined raw shrimp
  • 4/5 sprigs of fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 Half of Cup chopped white onion
  • 1 cup of chopped bell pepper any color
  • 3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 One and one half cups of water

How to Make Kicked up Jambalaya.

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Kicked up Jambalaya. in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a large saucepan combine olive oil onions and bell pepper saute for 3 to 5 minutes until vegetables are soft.
  • Step 2
  • Add the box of jambalaya rice mix the canned tomatoes and the water to the vegetables mix well bring to a boil reduce heat to medium low simmer with lid on for 15 minutes
  • Step 3
  • Next you will add the raw shrimp and the sausage for an additional 10 minutes or until shrimp starts to turn pink. Remove from heat let sit for 5 minutes and garnish with parsley.
