  • 300 grams Kimchi
  • 20 leaves Shiso leaves
  • 1 Roasted sesame seeds
  • Flavoring ingredients:
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 dash Sesame oil

How to Make Kimchi Shiso Onigiri (Rice Balls)

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Kimchi Shiso Onigiri (Rice Balls) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Wash the rice, add it to the rice cooker, and turn it on ♪
  • Step 2
  • Thinly slice the kimchi and shiso leaves.
  • Step 3
  • Add the kimchi to a frying pan and stir-fry (adding oil is unnecessary). When it's heated through, add the sugar and stir-fry.
  • Step 4
  • Add the cooked rice and stir-fry (use a rice paddle to mix the rice with a cutting motion to avoid breaking the grains of rice).
  • Step 5
  • Turn off the heat. Add the shiso leaves, roasted sesame seeds, and sesame oil and mix with the rice.
  • Step 6
  • Stir well and then shape into rice balls of any shape you like. All done.
