  • Vegetables
  • 2 tbsp butter (for frying)
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, I prefer mine cut into wedges
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into thin slices
  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp tumeric powder
  • Koobideh
  • 1 lb ground lamb (could also do half beef, half lamb)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp tumeric powder
  • Yogurt
  • 1 cup lowfat, plain yogurt
  • 1 salt
  • 1 mint

How to Make Koobideh with Veggies

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Koobideh with Veggies in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix all ingredients for the koobideh and form into six logs. You may need to add more or less flour to get your logs to form properly.
  • Step 2
  • Either grill or fry your koobideh until brown on the outside and the internal temperature reads 165°f, turning halfway.
  • Step 3
  • In a separate pan, melt butter over medium high heat. Add garlic and fry until brown, few minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Add onion and pepper and fry until just barely firm. Add tomatoes and finish cooking through.
  • Step 5
  • Mix yogurt, salt, and mint together. I like mine very flavorful so I like to use a lot of both. Serve on side of meat.
