  • 1/2 lb black forest ham, diced
  • 2 cup sauerkraut, well drained
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of spicy brown mustard or dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/3 cup minced onion, fresh
  • 4 thick slices of swiss cheese, or white aged cheddar, 1/8" thick

  • Prepare dough according to recipe directions including first rise.
  • Step 2
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add salt to beef. Brown beef and onions until beef is no longer pink. Set aside to cool.

  • On lightly floured surface turn out dough. Divide into four equal sections.

  • Pull up edges and seal. Place seam side down onto a parchment lined baking tray.
  • Step 7
  • Continue same steps with the other 3 pieces.

  • Place a slice of swiss on top of each roll.
  • Step 9
  • Bake in a preheated 380°F fahrenheit oven. Bake 20-25 minutes. Cheese will be golden in color and bubbly.
  • Step 10
  • Let cool several minutes before cutting open. Enjoy.
