Ingredients: Lamb chop bhuna

  • 650 g lamb chops
  • 6 large onions finely sliced or grated
  • 4 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 inch piece ginger roughly chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 2 tbsp Ground Madras Curry powder
  • 1 tsp Whole Peppercorn
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 red tomatoes quartered
  • 2 Green Chillies sliced
  • 1 cup Boiled Water
  • 1 cup Fresh Chopped Coriander

How to Make Lamb chop bhuna

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Lamb chop bhuna in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a heavy based pan add cooking oil, Garlic, Ginger, Salt, Turmeric powder, Garam Masala, Onions, Lamb chops, Bay leaf, Cinnamon stick, Aniseed, Peppercorn Mix all the ingredients together and cook for 45min on medium heat stirring occasionally.
  • Step 2
  • Add the Madras Curry powder and green chillies and cook for a further 5 min or until the oil separates from the mixture.
  • Step 3
  • Add the quartered tomatoes and tomato puree and stir and leave to cook for a further 10 min
  • Step 4
  • Add the boiling water and leave to simmer for 10 min.
  • Step 5
  • Garnish with the coriander, leave to stand for 5 min and serve with boiled rice or naan.
