  • 2 lemon
  • 200 grams flour
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • pinch salt
  • 5 eggs
  • Glaze
  • 1 lemon
  • 150 grams icing sugar

How to Make Lemon Cake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Lemon Cake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Zest the lemon.
  • Step 2
  • Juice the lemon and simmerit on medium heat for 15 minutes, after 15 minutes you shoud be left whith 1 tablespoons of juice.
  • Step 3
  • Whip the egg whithes whith the sugar a 1/4 at a time until is like a merengue.
  • Step 4
  • Mix the egg yolks, oil, lemon zest and lemon juice in a bowl.
  • Step 5
  • Fold the egg yolk mixture in the egg whites.
  • Step 6
  • Sift the flour, salt and baking powder and fold 1/4 at a time.
  • Step 7
  • Divide the mixture evenly between 2 loaf tins and bake at 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes.
  • Step 8
  • Mix the icing sugar and lemon juice from one lemon and pour it over the hot cake.
  • Step 9
  • Enjoy whith a glass of milk.
