  • 3 cup red lentils
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 18 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 clove chopped garlic
  • 3 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 chicken cubes
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

How to Make Lentil soup !

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Lentil soup ! in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • On medium high heat In a large stock pot add the oil and lentils and stir the lentil until they start changing from a red color to a yellowish color and keep stiring so you don't burn the lentils have some water close by
  • Step 2
  • Once it has started to change color add about 14 cups of water and the chopped garlic and salt and let it boil some more
  • Step 3
  • Let it boil until the water starts to go down close to half way and then add another 4 cups of water and the garlic powder and onion powder add the onions as well mix together and continue to boil on medium heat
  • Step 4
  • As soon as it starts to thicken add the pepper and chicken cubes and stir and allow to boil until its nice and thick...enjoy ! ( you can eat it as soup with some pita bread or over rice !
