    Step 1
  • Marinate the boiled quail egg in mentsuyu. If you're using 2x concentrate marinate it for 30 to 40 minutes. Turn it over occasionally to marinate it evenly.

  • Secure the ends together with a small piece of pasta. (If you don't want to use uncooked dry pasta, use a piece of deep fried pasta instead.)
  • Step 7
  • Place the quail egg from Step 2 on top.
  • Step 8
  • Make the face parts ready. I used a nori punch this time! If you don't have a nori punch, cut the parts out with scissors.
  • Step 9
  • Use mayonnaise as glue to stick on the nori features, and it's done.
  • Step 10
  • A quail egg cut in half used in the center is cute too.
  • Step 11
