  • marinade
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 4 clove garlic, minced
  • other
  • 2 lb london broil
  • 1 cooking spray
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

How to Make London Broil

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make London Broil in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix all ingredients for the marinade and pour into a gallon ziploc freezer bag.
  • Step 2
  • Trim excess fat from the london broil steak. Then poke the steak all over with a fork (this will help make the meat more tender and let the marinade flavor soak in).
  • Step 3
  • Place steak in the bag with the marinade. Seal it up getting as much air out of the bag as possible. Make sure the meat is completely immersed in the marinade.
  • Step 4
  • Marinade in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours (over night is better). The longer you marinade the meat the more flavor it will have.
  • Step 5
  • To Cook London Broil: Preheat the broiler. Remove steak from bag and scrape the garlic off. Place on broiler pan and spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  • Step 6
  • Broil on top rack for 6-9 minutes depending on the thickness of the london broil. Then flip and broil other side for 6-9 minutes.
  • Step 7
  • Once out of the oven, let set for 10 minutes.
  • Step 8
  • Slice meat in thin slices being sure to cut against the grain.
