  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 6 jalapeños, seeded and chopped
  • 1 box Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 lb bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 8 oz condensed milk
  • 2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 tbsp butter, salted
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack and cheddar blended cheese
  • 4 cup boiling water

How to Make Macaroni and Cheese

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Macaroni and Cheese in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F degrees
  • Step 2
  • Boil pasta noodles to firm al dente
  • Step 3
  • Fry cut bacon in a medium pan until about halfway done.
  • Step 4
  • Add onion and jalapeños to pan with bacon and continue to cook until bacon is crispy and veggies are tender. Add in butter and deglaze bottom of the pan.
  • Step 5
  • In a large bowl, combine pasta, milk, 2 cups of cheddar cheese, and the cooked ingredients, including the butter and drippings from the bacon.
  • Step 6
  • Pour mixture into 9x13 pan. Top with remaining cheese and put in oven for about 20 minutes, or until cheese has melted and browned lightly.
