  • 4 oz cold butter
  • water to form pastry
  • flour for rolling the pastry

  • 1 tbsp olive oil for sauted onions
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes deseeded and chopped
  • 5 medium eggs
  • 1 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 4 slice sliced cheese(optional)
  • butter for quiche pan
  • salt and pepper

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Mandys cheese tomato and onion quiche in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • For the pastry put flour and butter in a blender ,pluse until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add enough water to pastry to for a soft dough. Wrap in seran wrap and refrigerate.
  • Step 2
  • Put oil into saute pan and cook onions until translucent,remove and allow to cool.
  • Step 3
  • In a mixing bowl add eggs,one egg yolk, tomato,cheese,onions, cream,salt and pepper Mix well.
  • Step 4
  • Butter a 10 inch quiche pan . Dust counter with flour roll dough out and carefully place in quiche pan.
  • Step 5
  • Add egg mixture to quiche pan top with sliced cheese (optional) place in a preheated oven at 180℃/350;℉ carefully put pan onto middle shelf cook for 20 minutes. After that increase heat to 200℃/400℉ and finish cooking for 10-15 minutes .
  • Step 6
  • Carefully remove and allow to cool slightly,then enjoy
