Ingredients: Mandys chilli

  • 900 grams lean minced beef
  • 2 can tomato sauce( passatta)
  • 1 can red kidney beans (undrained)
  • 2 medium onion
  • 4 large garlic cloves
  • 3 fresh chilles( serrano)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 2 medium carrots (sliced thinly)
  • 1 pepper ( any color) diced
  • 1 pinch salt snd pepper
  • 1 can water ( use empty kidney bean can to measure)

How to Make Mandys chilli

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Mandys chilli in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Put beef into a large pot and cook until Brown and then drain off excess fat from beef ,leaving 1 tbsp in the pot with the beef
  • Step 2
  • Finally chop the garlic cloves and chillies add to pot and cook for 5 minutes stirring to avoid it sticking to the pot
  • Step 3
  • Add cumin and dried oregano mix well
  • Step 4
  • Add chopped pepper onions and carrots
  • Step 5
  • Add tomato sauce and mix well
  • Step 6
  • Add kidney beans in their own liquid ( this helps thicken the sauce)
  • Step 7
  • Add can of water ,bring to boil then reduce heat to a gentle simmer
  • Step 8
  • When reduced to Ur liken season to taste with salt and pepper and serve it in a bowl and top with Ur favourite cheese r leave plain
