  • 10 tbsp butter @ room temp
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp maple extract
  • 4 tbsp milk or half and half
  • 6 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 box precooked bacon for optional garnish

How to Make Maple Butter Cream Frosting

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Maple Butter Cream Frosting in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Beat butter, maple syrup and maple extract until smooth.
  • Step 2
  • gradually add sifted powdered sugar.
  • Step 3
  • I start adding a little of my liquid halfway through if it gets too thick.
  • Step 4
  • Add enough milk or half and half to just make it spreading consistency once all the sugar is added .
  • Step 5
  • I also added 1/2 tsp vanilla to mine.
  • Step 6
  • Add pinch of salt if necessay. I use salted butter so I don't use it.
  • Step 7
  • Place chopped bacon on frosted cupcakes if desired. You're missing out if you don't!!
  • Step 8
  • I used butter pecan cake mix and added a tsp of maple extract for my cupcakes. It's better if they are home made if not on a time crunch. Try french toast cupcake batter. Truly awesome!
