  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Maple - Walnut Bars in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 7x11 baking pan with aluminum foil.
  • Step 2
  • For the crust: mix flour and brown sugar. Use a pastry cutter to cut in the butter. The dough should end up crumbly.
  • Step 3
  • Press the dough into the bottom of the baking pan to form an even layer and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • In a clean bowl use a whisk to break up the eggs and combine them with the brown sugar. Mix in the walnuts, maple syrup, melted butter and vanilla extract.
  • Step 5
  • Pour the topping over the crust and bake for 25 minutes or until set.
  • Step 6
  • Cool on a wire rack. It is easiest to cut into squares while still warm. Cover and store in the refrigerator.
