  • casserole
  • 1 1/2 lb yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 1 head of cauliflower, stem removed and sliced lengthways
  • 6 clove garlic thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 8 oz room temperature cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup half and half
  • 3 oz romano cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp green onions
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup panko japanese breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp pepper

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step 2
  • In a large pot of boiling water, add potatoes and cauliflower. Cook 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Step 3
  • Drain. In several batches place potatoes and cauliflower through a ricer. In large mixing bowl,add in salt, pepper,cream cheese, garlic and half and half. Mix well.
  • Step 4
  • Place mixture into a greased 11"by 7" baking dish.
  • Step 5
  • Mix together chives, breadcrumbs, romano cheese and melted butter. Sprinkle on top of potatoes .
  • Step 6
  • Bake for twenty minutes. Put under broiler for two minutes to finish.
