  • 4 *Potato (medium)
  • 2 clove *Garlic
  • 1 *Bay leaf
  • 1 tsp *Salt
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 50 ml Heavy cream
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 2 tbsp Chives

How to Make Mashed Potatoes

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Mashed Potatoes in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces. Add the * ingredients to a pot and fill with water until just covered. Boil until the potatoes are soft.
  • Step 2
  • Put the boiled potatoes and garlic into a colander.
  • Step 3
  • Use a potato masher (if you don't have one, use a strainer) to mash the potatoes and garlic together.
  • Step 4
  • While still piping hot, add the butter. Then add the slightly warmed milk and heavy cream in several turns and stir it in quickly to combine completely.
  • Step 5
  • Adjust the taste with salt. Lastly, stir in the chives and it's all done.
  • Step 6
  • These are also delicious without garlic. They also taste great with other herbs or even with some bacon.
