  • For the matcha shaved ice
  • 500 ml Water
  • 50 grams Caster sugar
  • 6 grams Matcha
  • 1 tbsp Lukewarm water
  • Raccoon dog mochi balls (18 balls worth)
  • 50 grams Shiratamako
  • 50 ml Water
  • 1 Hojicha
  • 1 Black cocoa powder
  • Others
  • 1 Boiled azuki beans
  • 1 Cornflakes

    Step 1
  • Prepare the matcha shaved ice. Combine the sifted matcha with the sugar.
  • Step 2
  • Add the hot water to dissolve.

  • In a separate bowl, add the rest of the sugar to the water, and heat. Once it comes to a boil, remove from heat, and chill. This is the simple syrup.

  • Add the hojicha powder to the remaining dough and divide into 18 portions.

  • Take a small portion of the hojicha dough for the ears, and roll the rest into flattened circles. Roll tiny balls and stick on the top of the head to form ears.
  • Step 9
  • Use the cocoa and plain dough to form the eyes.
  • Step 10
  • Stick on the nose.
  • Step 11
  • Drop the formed mochi balls into a pot of boiling water. Once they've risen to the surface, cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Step 12
  • Transfer to a bowl of cold water.
  • Step 13
  • In the plastic cups, add a layer of corn flakes.
  • Step 14
  • Boiled adzuki beans.
  • Step 15
  • Then the matcha shaved icea.
  • Step 16
  • Lay the raccoon mochi balls on top.
  • Step 17
  • Consume before the shaved ice melts.
