  • 1-1 1/2 lbs ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce (sweet baby ray's or your favorite)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

How to Make Meat loaf

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Meat loaf in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Step 2
  • Sautéed onion and garlic in olive oil or butter until translucent.
  • Step 3
  • In a large bowl combine ground meat, egg, onion/garlic mixture, milk, bread crumbs, Worcestershire, 1 tbsp soy sauce, salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
  • Put meat mixture in lightly greased 5x9 loaf pan.
  • Step 5
  • In a small bowl combine ketchup, barbecue sauce and remaining 2 tbsp soy sauce. Mix well and pour over meat.
  • Step 6
  • Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
