  • 2 packages frozen beef meatballs, about 40 balls total
  • 2/3 loaf day old italian bread
  • 2 jars of your favorite pasta sauce
  • 1/2 large green bell pepper, diced
  • 8 oz Muenster cheese, cubed
  • 1 packages shredded mozzarella cheese

How to Make Meatball Sub Casserole

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Meatball Sub Casserole in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a 13 x 9 baking dish, rip the italian bread into large bite sized chunks and layer on the bottom of the dish, gently pressing down to even the layer.
  • Step 2
  • Layer the frozen meatballs in a single layer evenly on top of the bread.
  • Step 3
  • Sprinkle on the cubed Muenster cheese and diced peppers evenly over the meat.
  • Step 4
  • Drizzle both jars of sauce over the top making sure the edges have sauce so it doesn't dry out.
  • Step 5
  • Bake for 25 minutes at 350.
  • Step 6
  • At the 25 minute mark, sprinkle the mozzarella over top on an even layer and bake for 5 to 8 minutes more until bubbly.
