Ingredients: Meatballs and gravy

  • meatballs
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 2 eggs
  • 3-4 dashes dried onion
  • 14 crushed crackers
  • to taste salt & pepper for meat
  • gravy (use drippings)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 dashes paprika
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1 beef bullion cube or 2 t powder

How to Make Meatballs and gravy

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Meatballs and gravy in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix meat stuff together
  • Step 2
  • Roll into meatballs and brown in skillet with about 1 T. oil.
  • Step 3
  • Turn and brown both sides.  Remove the meatballs from the pan when brown and set aside.
  • Step 4
  • To make gravy put 1/4 cup of flour in the pan with the meat drippings with about 3 good shakes of paprika (if you have it) stir and brown a bit over medium to low heat. 
  • Step 5
  • Slowly add 2 cups milk to pan and stir really well and cook till thickened. 
  • Step 6
  • You may need to add more salt/pepper to the gravy as milk gravy needs a fair amount of salt
  • Step 7
  • Add 2 teaspoons of instant beef boullion to the milk to give it a little more flavor.
