  • 1 slice Sliced bread
  • 1/2 sac Mentaiko (spicy salted cod or pollack roe) or tarako (salted cod or pollack roe)
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise / Cream cheese

How to Make Mentaiko Toast.

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Mentaiko Toast. in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Scrape out the insides of the mentaiko out with the back of a kitchen knife. Mix with the mayonnaise. If you use cream cheese, first bring it to room temperature so it is soft.
  • Step 2
  • Cover the slice of bread completely and generously with the step 1 mixture.
  • Step 3
  • Place it on top of a piece of aluminum foil (to prevent burning) and toast in a toaster oven until crispy, about 4~5 minutes. Please adjust accordingly to keep from burning.
