Ingredients: Mexican Casserole

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 cup corn chex (or chex of your choice)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 dash onion powder
  • 8 oz Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup Taco sauce
  • 15 oz can corn, drained
  • 12 slice American cheese

How to Make Mexican Casserole

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Mexican Casserole in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Combine melted butter & chex. Toss to coat well. Put 2 cups in bottom of shallow baking dish. Crush remaining chex. Set aside.
  • Step 2
  • In skillet, brown beef & drain. Add seasonings. Mix in tomato & taco sauces.
  • Step 3
  • Layer half the corn, meat mixture, & cheese over chex in baking dish. Repeat with remaining corn, meat, & cheese. Sprinkle reserved chex crumbs over top.
  • Step 4
  • Bake in 325°F oven for 35 minutes or until edges are bubbly.
