Ingredients: Mexican Sopes

  • Sope Mix
  • 3 1/2 cup Instant Corn Masa Flour
  • 1 1/2 cup Frying oil
  • 2 cup warm water or as needed

How to Make Mexican Sopes

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Mexican Sopes in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix Masa and water until it turns to a dough consistency.
  • Step 2
  • Roll a golf size ball and pat it until its like a pancake. (Optional --> on a griddle place the dough and heat it up until its lightly cooked)
  • Step 3
  • Pinch the edges of the sope all around it.
  • Step 4
  • Heat oil on a small or medium pan...once its hot place your Sope and fry it until it turns light golden
  • Step 5
  • Top your sole with anything you like and enjoy!!
  • Step 6
  • My version: Fried beans at the bottom then I begin topping it with: shredded beef, shredded lettuce, guacamole, queso freso,sour cream, salsa, and Mexican Pickled onions(cebollas curtidas) and as a side Mexican Rice!!
