  • 6 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 Egg (room temperature)
  • 175 ml Milk (room temperature)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 6 sausage
  • 6 tsp olive oil

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Mini Toad in the hole in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a medium bowl, Whisk together the flour, salt and pepper. Add beaten egg and half of the milk. Whisk everything together with a hand blender or wire whisk. Add a bit more milk and continue stirring until the batter is well mixed and smooth.
  • Step 2
  • Strain and push any remaining lumps through a sieve. Keep batter in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Preheat the oven to 220C.
  • Step 4
  • Put 1tsp oil and a sausage into each muffin cup. Then, put the muffin pan in the oven for a few minutes or until the oil is very hot.
  • Step 5
  • Carefully remove from the oven and quickly fill the cups. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Serve with gravy sauce or ketchup.
