Ingredients: Mint Rice

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 piece green chillies, diced
  • 3/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp corriander powdee
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon, cardamom pods (crushed) and cloves
  • 2 cup water, to cook rice
  • 1 salt to taste

How to Make Mint Rice

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Mint Rice in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Clean and soak rice for 10-15 minutes
  • Step 2
  • In and a large microwave proof bowl, add ghee, onion, green chillies and ginger garlic paste. Mix well and micro at high power for 3 min
  • Step 3
  • Add corriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala. Stir and micro at high power for 30 seconds.
  • Step 4
  • Then add rice, water, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and salt. Stir well and micro for 13 min. Do not forget to cover the bowl with a lid.
  • Step 5
  • Stir well and let it stay covered for 3 min .
