Ingredients: Minted Blood Orange Dessert

  • 2 blood oranges, rind removed and cut to 1/4" thickness
  • 2 graham crackers, finely crushed
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 *Cream*
  • 1 cup heavy cream or whipping cream
  • 4 mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 3 tsp orange juice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 mint leaves to garnish

How to Make Minted Blood Orange Dessert

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Minted Blood Orange Dessert in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Slice blood oranges 1/4" thick after rind has been removed or as thick as you like.
  • Step 2
  • Add all cream ingredients to a mixer bowl (I used my stand mixer) and mix at medium high speed until cream forms stiff peaks, usually anywhere from 5 to 7 minutes. You could also use a hand mixer/beater for this as well if you dont have a stand mixer. Just beat the cream ingredients on high speed until stiff peaks form.
  • Step 3
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, butter and sugar. Spoon into the bottom of a bowl or dessert dish.
  • Step 4
  • Top graham cracker crumbs with whipped cream.
  • Step 5
  • Lay blood oranges on top of whipped cream and garnish with mint leaves. Enjoy!
