  • 10 grams Cocoa powder
  • 100 grams Sweet or bitter chocolate
  • 90 grams Butter
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 40 grams Granulated sugar

How to Make Molten Chocolate Cake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Molten Chocolate Cake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Sift the cake flour and cocoa powder together. Preheat the oven for 180℃.
  • Step 2
  • Put the chocolate and butter into a bowl, and melt over a double boiler.
  • Step 3
  • Add the eggs and granulated sugar into a separate bowl, and whip. Place the bowl over the double boiler and whip some more.
  • Step 4
  • When it comes to body temperature, remove from the double boiler. Whip some more until stiff peaks form.
  • Step 5
  • Add the Step ② melted chocolate mixture into Step ④, and fold it in from the bottom of the bowl so that the mixture is evenly blended.
  • Step 6
  • Sift the Step ① dry ingredients into Step ⑤, and mix well. It's ok to add it all at once.
  • Step 7
  • Pour into the cups, and bake in the oven preheated to 180℃ for 10 ~ 12 minutes.
  • Step 8
  • I cooked in muffin cups in this picture. The baking time was 8 ~ 10 minutes.
  • Step 9
  • And done.
