  • 5 small apples
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup quick, rolled oats

    Step 1
  • Peel and core apples. Cut apples into 1/4 inch slices
  • Step 2
  • Toss apple slices in lemon juice and spread evenly in bottom of a greased 9 inch pie plate.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • In a medium mixing bowl add flour, brown sugar, rolled oats and cut butter/ margarine in with pastry cutter until topping resembles a course crumb mixture

  • Spread topping mixture evenly over apples and bake for 35- 45 min. or until topping is golden brown .
  • Step 7
  • Let cool for 15 min and serve with ice cream or table cream.
