  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 packages crackers
  • 1 medium chopped onion

    Step 1
  • Combine ingredients in bowl and firmly mix with hands to incorporate eggs,onions,and crackers into ground beef
  • Step 2
  • Press into pan making a loaf shape approximately 2 inches thick
  • Step 3
  • Cover entirentir top and sides with a thick covering of catsup
  • Step 4
  • Pour water around sides about 1/3 the height of the Meatloaf ... do not forget this step ! ... a lot will evaporate away and this is what makes the difference in a moist meatloaf instead of a dry tough one !
  • Step 5
  • Bake uncovered, one rack up from center of oven at 350°F for 1 hour.
