  • 1/4 cup Chinese Shaoxing wine
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 dash white pepper powder
  • 1/3 tsp crushed chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp sugar or to taste
  • 4 medium onion
  • 2 tsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame seed oil
  • 2 inches of ginger

How to Make Mongolian beef

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Mongolian beef in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • thinly slice the beef
  • Step 2
  • marinate the beef for 30 minutes, in a hot pan or hot wok add 1 tablespoon of oil add beef stir fry till half done remove and set aside.
  • Step 3
  • chop the onion coarsely
  • Step 4
  • peel the ginger
  • Step 5
  • slice the ginger thinly then slice like matchstick style
  • Step 6
  • slice green onion two inch on a diagonal
  • Step 7
  • add onions and ginger to the wok with juices of beef after about 2-3 minutes of cooking add the beef to the onions stir a bit add sauce let cook till thick the sauce also includes the marinating liquid used on beef mix well in wok stir it will thicken a bit.
  • Step 8
  • add green onions stir a bit serve with rice
