  • 250 gr flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbsp granulated sugar (to taste)
  • 350 ml water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • Margarine to spread
  • Meyses/jam for filling
  • Sweetened condensed milk for filling
  • Sugar to taste, for sprinkling

How to Make MOONLIT (Terang Bulan)

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make MOONLIT (Terang Bulan) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix flour, water, eggs and sugar and mix well using medium speed mixer.
  • Step 2
  • Once well blended, add the baking soda and stir using a spatula. Let stand about 1 hour.
  • Step 3
  • Heat the pan over low heat, then pour the batter. Allow it to expand ( bubbles will rise to the top).
  • Step 4
  • When dough is 1/2 cooked, sprinkle with sugar and closed briefly until cooked.
  • Step 5
  • Lift the dough from the pan and let a little warm, and then rub with margarine.
  • Step 6
  • Sprinkle meyses and sweetened condensed milk. Home made Moonlit is ready to be enjoyed with family.
