  • 6 chicken breast
  • 5 black plums
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoons cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Morgh-va-Aloo (chicken with plums) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Slice the onions
  • Step 2
  • Wash the plums
  • Step 3
  • Thin the chicken if thick. Either slice in half lengthways or butterfly the chicken breast.

  • Heat oil in a pan add onions sauté till translucent.

  • Season one side of the chicken.
  • Step 6
  • Put seasoned side of chicken on top of the onions brown for 3 minutes.
  • Step 7
  • turn the chicken pieces over, add the seasonings to the other side, as the first side browns and seals in the seasonings.  Turn so both sides are browned and sealed in the seasonings.
  • Step 8
  • Dice the plums and add to chicken.
  • Step 9
  • Add water. Then cover pan let cook 30-45 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Step 10
  • Remove from heat. Let sit covered 5 minutes. Serve hope you enjoy!
