  • 1 can salmon
  • 1 can mackarel
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • small bell pepper (optional)

How to Make Ms. Kipper's Salmon Patties

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Ms. Kipper's Salmon Patties in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • I use canned salmon and mackerel and therefore I clean them. taking out bones. I put the bones and stuff in the old cans and put in a plastic grocery store and get it out of the house!!!
  • Step 2
  • I mix all the fish by hand until it looks crumbly.
  • Step 3
  • add flour and cornmeal (my family likes it to have a slight fish taste so we add mackerel and cornmeal.
  • Step 4
  • add onion... (you can also add minced bell pepper)

  • add salt and pepper

  • mix it all where it looks crumbly.
  • Step 7
  • add 2 eggs and mix well by hand. form patties that are the size of sausage patties.
  • Step 8
  • heat oil in skillet on Med high.. OIL SHOULD BE HOT. to see if its hot enough to fry flick a little four to see if it fries.
  • Step 9
  • Patties will turn golden Brown when they are ready to be turned. turn over and cook on other side.
