  • Chicken Paprikash
  • 3 lb Chicken breasts, legs or thighs. Boneless and skinless thighs work great!
  • 1/4 cup Butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup Chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup Chopped red bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup Sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Hungarian paprika
  • 2 cup Chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 8 oz Container sour cream
  • 1 Hot cooked egg noodles

How to Make Oh My Gosh Chicken Paprikash

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Oh My Gosh Chicken Paprikash in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Brown chicken in butter using a large deep pan, over medium heat. Remove chicken, reserving drippings in pan. Drain chicken on paper towels. Add red peppers, mushrooms and onions to pan with drippings. Cook over medium heat, until just tender.
  • Step 2
  • Add flour and paprika. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. It will be thick and pasty at this time. Gradually add chicken broth. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt and pepper. Add your chicken back to pan, cover and reduce heat. Simmer about 1 hour or until chicken is tender.
  • Step 3
  • Stir in sour cream. Cook, stirring constantly, just until thoroughly heated. DO NOT BOIL. Serve over hot egg noodles, spaetzle or even gnocchi. Enjoy!
