  • 100 grams Fresh okara
  • 1/2 Onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 Carrot (finely chopped)
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 tbsp + Ketchup
  • 1 tsp + Soy sauce
  • 2 blocks Japanese-style curry roux (store-bought)
  • 200 ml Water

How to Make Okara Dry Curry

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Okara Dry Curry in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat vegetable oil (not listed) in a skillet and sauté the chopped onion and carrots. Sprinkle on some salt and sauté the vegetable over low heat to bring out their flavor.
  • Step 2
  • Once the onion and carrots are tender, pour in the water and bring it to a boil. Add the ketchup and the store bought curry roux and mix well.
  • Step 3
  • Once the curry roux has dissolved, add the okara and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 4
  • Add the soy sauce at the end. If the taste is still on the lighter side, add ketchup and soy sauce to adjust the taste.
  • Step 5
  • Serve with rice and enjoy.
