  • 75 grams cubed pancetta
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 500 grams tomato puree/passata
  • 1 can beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup white rice, uncooked
  • 1 salt, pepper, paprika and cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make One Pot Beans and Rice in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Fry the pancetta in a soup pot. Add garlic as soon as the pancetta starts browning
  • Step 2
  • When fragrant, deglaze the pot with water (the amount is listed above) and scrape all burnt bits. Add bay leaf and tomato puree
  • Step 3
  • Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Then, add the beans and rice
  • Step 4
  • Stir frequently, taste and season. Add more water if needed. Rice will be done in about 15 min. Serve immediately
