Prepare the ingredients before making ONE-POT CHICKEN in your home. Then, follow these steps below to serve ONE-POT CHICKEN for your family or friends.

Ingredients: ONE-POT CHICKEN

  • 10 ml sunflower oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 chiken breasts
  • 2 large carrots, thickly sliced
  • 3 baby marrow, thickly sliced
  • 410 grams tin chopped tomatoes
  • 15 ml tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika or cayenne pepper to taste
  • 5 ml dried origanum
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 410 grams tin baked beans in tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 lemon juice and black pepper to taste
  • 30 ml chopped parsley to taste


If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make ONE-POT CHICKEN in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat oil in a large pot and fry onion and garlic for a few minutes. Add chicken and fry until golden brown.
  • Step 2
  • Add carrots, baby marrows, tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika and origanum.
  • Step 3
  • Add water, reduce heat and simmer with the lid for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
  • Step 4
  • Add tins of beans, salt and season with lemon juice and pepper. Heat through and stir in the parsely.
  • Step 5
  • Serve on small portions of pap, mealie rice or mashed potatoes.
