Ingredients: Orange Chicken

  • Chicken
  • 2 1/2 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1/2 cup Corn Starch
  • 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Orange Zest
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper
  • 1 Corn Oil
  • Orange Marinade Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Vinegar
  • 2 clove Garlic (mashed)
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sriracha
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1 tsp White Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Orange zest
  • 1 Red Pepper

How to Make Orange Chicken

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Orange Chicken in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Whisk sauce ingredients together and let stand.
  • Step 2
  • Slice Chicken into 1 1/2 inch cube squares.
  • Step 3
  • Mix corn starch, flour, salt, pepper and orange zest into decent sized bowl (something large enough to dust the chicken cubes).
  • Step 4
  • Dust Chicken cubes in mix.
  • Step 5
  • Fill a small pot with enough corn oil that chicken cubes won't touch bottom of pot when you cook them. Heat oil medium to high.
  • Step 6
  • Drop about 8 pieces of dust chicken cubes into heated oil pot. Cook 1-2 minutes. Do not over cook. Light golden color is about right. Repeat until done cooking all the chicken.
  • Step 7
  • Place chicken in a deep dish pan.
  • Step 8
  • Preheat Oven 375°F.
  • Step 9
  • Pour sauce over chicken evenly. Cook chicken in oven for about 8 minutes. Remove chicken from sauce and let stand.
  • Step 10
  • Best served with white rice, imo.. Enjoy..
