  • 1 Bitter melon

  • 2 tbsp Oil

How to Make Pan-Fried Bitter Melon

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Pan-Fried Bitter Melon in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Halve the bitter melon. Remove its seeds and fiber, and cut into 5 mm slices. You don't need to remove any bitterness by soaking it in salt water.
  • Step 2
  • Put the bitter melon and the ★ ingredients into a plastic bag and let the flavors settle in.
  • Step 3
  • Transfer the bitter melon into a new plastic bag, and coat with katakuriko. Let some air into the bag and shake it around. The katakuriko will coat the melon nicely.
  • Step 4
  • Heat some oil in a frying pan and pan-fry the bitter melon. Flip them over once they're nicely browned. They're done when both sides become crisp.
