  • 1 piece worth ☆ Grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp ☆ White ground sesame seeds
  • 1 Green onions or shiso leaves
  • 1 White toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Oil

How to Make Pan-Fried Tofu With Sesame Ginger Miso

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Pan-Fried Tofu With Sesame Ginger Miso in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix together the ingredients marked with ☆ - miso, sake, mirin, grated ginger and ground sesame seeds. Drain the excess water from the tofu. (The method described by Becchin-san inis very convenient.)
  • Step 2
  • Cut the tofu into easy to eat pieces, and coat each piece with katakuriko. Shake off any excess.
  • Step 3
  • Heat some oil in a frying pan, and cook the tofu from Step 2 on both sides over medium heat. When both sides are browned, lower the heat.
  • Step 4
  • Pour in the combined flavoring ingredients from step 1 onto Step 3's tofu, and shake the frying pan to mix. Turn the tofu pieces to coat both sides with the sauce.
  • Step 5
  • Add some chopped green onion or shiso leaves and sesame seeds on top and it's done.
