Ingredients: Panko Crusted Steak Fingers

  • 1 Cube Steak
  • 1 buttermilk for dipping
  • 1 cup flour for dredging ( may need more depending on how many steaks you are making )
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste
  • tsp onion powder
  • tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder ( optional )
  • 1 dry steak seasoning if desired
  • 1 Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 oil for frying

How to Make Panko Crusted Steak Fingers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Panko Crusted Steak Fingers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add enough oil to pan to cover steak fingers about half way.
  • Step 2
  • Heat oil to 350°F. I use electric skillet or cast iron. But any frying pan you have is fine.
  • Step 3
  • Cut cube steaks into strips or bite size pieces. Below is the bite size. I always cook both ways to please everyone lol
  • Step 4
  • Mix the flour and seasonings together well. I always sprinkle some seasonings on my meat first and add some to flour.
  • Step 5
  • Dredge the steak in flour mixture, then buttermilk and then panko crumbs.
  • Step 6
  • Press down to adhere the panko all over steak. Dredging in flour first helps keep breading on while frying.
  • Step 7
  • Cook without crowding in hot oil. Brown on one side then flip. Brown.
  • Step 8
  • Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Can sprinkle more salt on if desired.
