  • 1 olive oil
  • 4 clove garlic, diced finely
  • 1/2 onion, chopped finely
  • 1 can tomato sauce (398 ml)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (398 ml)
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp dry basil
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp dry parsley
  • 1 pinch sugar

How to Make Parma Rosa (Rosé) Sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Parma Rosa (Rosé) Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat heavy saucepan with olive oil (approximately 1/4 cup) over medium heat.
  • Step 2
  • Add garlic and onions, saute until tender (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Step 3
  • Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, basil, parsley, salt & pepper. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for at least 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 4
  • Stir in cheese and then cream and sugar. Simmer on low heat until cream is incorporated and sauce thickens to desired consistency.
  • Step 5
  • Serve with shell pasta and garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
